Some people are easily pleased, and I am glad to be such… Something I take great delight in is stationery, mostly gorgeous notebooks or tactile pencils, such as my long-term favourite Faber-Castell Grip 2001. And it’s been a while, it is time to stock up on whatever the latest colour might be – I have the original grey, then black and red and blue and some pink, even. With the rubbers and sharpeners to match (and if anyone in the household dares…). But they have dwindled in number – everyone likes them and so they disappear for adventures in school blazers or rucksacks, or into sofas, or under beds, or… And as I consider working at a desk again (big yay), I will want both my vintage marmalade pot of the colouring pencil equivalents (the beauty – and I did buy a set for each of the offspring) and my pot of gorgeous pencils again.
And while I am fond of Moleskine notebooks, I’m not overly fussed, to be honest, having taken a shine to a freebie given to my husband by Amery Construction – a lovely shade of green, nice-feely cover and a good size – perfect for business notes. And then I find little bargain versions for this and that, though I’ve not used these, intending instead to cover with fabric and gift them – one day…
So why am I sharing this love of mine? Well I’ve been asked to review some items in readiness for Stationery Week – can you imagine! A whole week dedicated to all things pencil, paper, pen, and such paraphernalia… I will report further through to the end of April when I will join in with the week and indulge my stationery love.
Such fun!
